Chris Ross – BSID Industrial Designer

Chris Ross is a principal of Launchpoint Inc. His responsibilities include industrial design, design team management, and company marketing.

Mr. Ross has a decade of experience as a successful designer of products for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, specializing in the healthcare, biotech and the consumer markets.

Before starting his own firm in 2004, Mr. Ross managed all industrial design activities for seven years at Cardinal Health’s Pyxis Products Division, a $1 billion enterprise. During his Pyxis tenure, he contributed to the development and marketing of more than 15 products. More recently, clients have included ITT Industries, Behr Paints, Illinois Tool Works, Sequal Technologies, Asteres, SafetyMate, Hemotherapies, Robodesign and Let’s Go Robotics.

Mr. Ross holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University. He is a professional member of the Industrial Designers Society of America and his work has been recognized on two patents.

He currently serves on the board of directors of Flood Detective, a company he helped found.

Andy Moulds – BSME Mechanical Engineer

Andy Moulds is a principal of Launchpoint Inc. His duties include engineering, engineering team management, and company operations.

Previously, Mr. Moulds held various engineering, development, and management positions at RoboDesign, Ismeca, North Sails, and Digital Equipment Corp. As vice president of engineering, he helped grow a start-up company to more than $10 million dollars in sales. In 2004, he started Controlled Motions, an engineering consulting firm. He also has experience as a product manager and project manager.

Mr. Moulds has developed many products and medical devices over the past 19 years including medical instruments, diagnostics, disposables, industrial lasers, inkjet cartridges, implantable devices, consumer goods, military instruments, drug discovery instruments, and hospital pharmacy equipment. He has been granted nine patents for his work.

Mr. Moulds holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a member of The Product Development and Management Association and The American Electronics Association.
