Moulds Elected to board of directors of the Association of Professional Design Firms

Andy Moulds, a principal of LaunchPoint, Inc. in Carlsbad, Calif., has been elected to the board of directors of the Association of Professional Design Firms.


LaunchPoint develops products for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, employing a user-centric design approach fueled by the process of discovery and years of experience designing and engineering successful products.


Moulds oversees LaunchPoint’s engineering, engineering team management and company operations.  Over the past 19 years, his product development activities have included medical instruments, diagnostics, disposables, industrial lasers, inkjet cartridges, implantable devices, consumer goods, military instruments, drug discovery instruments and hospital pharmacy equipment. He has been granted twelve patents for his work.


A resident of Encinitas, Moulds holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
